GENESIS CHAMPIONSHIP

course

A mark of great golf course design is where every hole is distinctly memorable.

The Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea is a unique urban golf course that offers views of modern high-rise buildings along with the peaceful natural scenery of the west coast. It is situated close enough to the the West Sea to enjoy gentle sea breezes and flocks of seagulls flying in the sky. The course is dotted with quaint fairway villas and unlike most other inland golf clubs in Korea, bent grass is planted in the fairways as well as the tee zones for excellent shots. The bent grass is green throughout the year and players will feel as if they are walking on carpet. A round of golf on this course will be a truly unique experience.

From the first tee shot to the final putt on the 18th hole, Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea will test the skills of players, and their patience and accuracy as golfers will be appropriately rewarded. The course is designed with so much care that every player will have an unforgettable memory of their round. Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea will become a true inspiration that players will talk about for years to come.

HOLE 1

  • Par 4
  • 391 Yard
  • Out Course

It's a good idea to tee off to the center of the fairway, but it is advantageous to try to hit the right side in preparation for the hole-pinning. From the second shot point to the green, it is better to take a little more uphill and calculate 0.5 more clubs.

HOLE 2

  • Par 4
  • 426 Yard
  • Out Course

It is advisable to avoid the deep bunker on the right-hand side of the fairway, so hit the tee-shot toward the left. As it is uphill from the second shot to the green, you should play ½ a club longer.

HOLE 3

  • Par 5
  • 593 Yard
  • Out Course

This is the longest par-5 hole. You should hit the tee shot as far right as possible, then send the second shot toward the left bunker in front of the green. From there it will be easy to go for the pin with your third shot.

HOLE 4

  • Par 4
  • 386 Yard
  • Out Course

The left-hand side of the course is hazardous all the way to the green. You should aim at the bunker to the right of the green when you hit the tee shot. For your second shot, consider the hazard in front of the green.

HOLE 5

  • Par 3
  • 172 Yard
  • Out Course

Although this is the shortest par-3 hole, it has the long and wide green. It is advisable to check the location of the pin well to avoid a long and difficult putt.

HOLE 6

  • Par 4
  • 471 Yard
  • Out Course

This very long par-4 hole requires a long drive. You should hit the tee shot looking at the left end of the building in the distance. It is a good idea to hit your second shot a club longer than usual. A par is a good score on this hole.

HOLE 7

  • Par 5
  • 559 Yard
  • Out Course

You should hit the tee shot to the right of the fairway. If you hit your second shot to the right of the green, you can land on it in two shots, but an accurate lay-up shot has a better chance for a birdie.

HOLE 8

  • Par 3
  • 235 Yard
  • Out Course

This is an uphill hole. It is advantageous to hit longer than the actual distance and it is advisable to aim at the left side of the green while a voiding the big bunker to the right.

HOLE 9

  • Par 4
  • 431 Yard
  • Out Course

You should hit the tee shot over the fairway bunker on the right. As the fairways lopes downhill, you can hit the second shot from a shorter distance.

HOLE 10

  • Par 4
  • 447 Yard
  • In Course

You should hit the tee shot straight down the middle to avoid the bunker on the left and the long rough on the right. So accuracy will be important here. As it is downhill, you should hit the second shot ½ a club shorter.

HOLE 11

  • Par 4
  • 413 Yard
  • In Course

This par-4 has a large pond to the right. As there is plenty of space on the left-hand side of the fairway, you should aim for that area without being conscious of the hazard.

HOLE 12

  • Par 4
  • 446 Yard
  • In Course

This relatively long hole slightly bends toward the left. It is ideal to hit the tee shot toward the middle of the fairway. As it is slightly uphill from the second shot to the green, you should choose about one club longer.

HOLE 13

  • Par 3
  • 182 Yard
  • In Course

This par-3 is quite long. You must know the location of the pin and be careful in selecting clubs. As the green is very long and it is not easy to measure the distance when putting, you should putt with extreme care.

HOLE 14

  • Par 4
  • 372 Yard
  • In Course

You should hit the tee shot to the right-hand side of the fairway. The green has a steep slope from top to bottom, so you should hit the second shot toward the slightly uphill green ½ a club longer.

HOLE 15

  • Par 5
  • 577 Yard
  • In Course

All obstacles are on the left-hand side of the fairway. You should send the tee shot and second shot to the right of the center so that it will be easier to get on the green as you will be aligned with the green.

HOLE 16

  • Par 4
  • 480 Yard
  • In Course

This is a long par-4. You should hit the tee shot toward the left-hand side of the fairway. If it is difficult to reach the green in two shots, hit the ball to the left-hand side of the green, approach and try to save par.

HOLE 17

  • Par 3
  • 203 Yard
  • In Course

Check the wind. It is advisable to hit a club longer in consideration of the hazard and bunker in front of the green.

HOLE 18

  • Par 5
  • 545 Yard
  • In Course

This par-5 has a large pond to the right of the fairway. You should send both the tee shot and second shot to the left of the center while avoiding the hazard to the right so that it will be easier to get on green.
